When you choose natural skincare, you’re saying yes to ingredients that are real, alive, and free from unnecessary preservatives. At Earth Lab, everything is made fresh in small batches because I believe skincare should be vibrant, not something that sits on a shelf for years.
But with freshness comes a natural question: how long do your creams, body butters, and deodorants last?
The Natural Shelf Life
Every Earth Lab product has its own rhythm of freshness. Body butters and creams are best enjoyed within 6 to 8 months from the day they are made. Deodorants are a little more stable and last around 12 months from the day they are made.
Why Fresh is Best
Because I don’t use synthetic stabilisers or preservatives, your skincare reflects the purity of its ingredients. Instead, Earth Lab relies on gentle, natural preservatives in creams and in products that contain water. I also lean on antioxidant-rich extracts and essential oils to help protect freshness in a soft and safe way.
Freshness means the scent stays bright and alive, the texture remains creamy and smooth, the botanicals keep their potency, and your deodorant continues to feel gentle yet effective.
Trust Your Senses
Your body knows when something is past its best, and your senses are the simplest guide. If the scent has faded or smells unusual, it may be time to replace it. If the colour has changed noticeably, that’s a sign of oxidation. If the texture feels very different, it might not perform the same way.
A Gentle Closing 🌸
The beauty of natural skincare is that it’s meant to be enjoyed fresh, not stored away. Use your products daily, trust your senses, and know that each tin and jar was made to bring you the best of nature while it’s alive and vibrant.
